Let me introduce myself...

 

I have always had a passion for capturing good photographs, but that passion magnified by leaps and bounds when my first baby was born.  A few years later my husband bought me a DSLR camera for Christmas and shortly after I became obsessed with capturing all of life's special moments. 

 

I LOVE capturing the joy of an engaged couple, BIG baby bumps, smiles of goofy kids, and big belly laughs!!  My goal is to capture a special moment for you and your family to cherish forever. 

 

I think its important to find a good balance between posed and "in the moment" candid images.  Its always nice to have a picture for the mantel where everyone is looking and smiling.  But since life is not posed, I like to focus on capturing everyone's personality too!

 

Why "Yellow Coat Photography" 

 

My husband and I met when I was 14 and he was 16.  Prior to officially meeting, he spotted me at the local batting cages.  I was wearing a yellow coat.  Because I was a freshman in high school and was obsessed with the color yellow, I wore the yellow coat often.  It became my signature of sorts.  My husband began asking around about me, searching for "the girl in the yellow coat" and someone actually knew who he had to be talking about!!   

 

The rest was history....  If it wasn't for that yellow coat I wouldn't be with the love of my life, have four amazing children and be living the dream!
